This 4 day workshop (December 6-9) is designed to loosen up even the tightest painter and break the niggling detail habit. Painting loose is much more than a technique. It requires an understanding of specific design concepts in order to free one's mind to paint loosely. Each day Eric will focus on one of thes principles. He will show how to contruct a beautiful painting in one sitting, and free creative thinking from cumbersome theories of color and composition. There will be time for individual instruction in a relaxed atmosphere. Beginners are welcome. A variety of subjects will be covered. which may include landscapes, marinescapes, florals, streetscapes, and still lifes.
Eric Wiegardt, (www.ericwiegardt.com) nationally recognized judge, juror and award winner, has left an indelible mark on the American art scene with more than 20 years of professional painting and teaching experience. He is the author of Watercolor Free and Easy and is featured in many books along with articles in magazines such as International Artist and Watercolor Magic. Eric is a graduate of the American Academy of Art in Chicago.
