Explore the painterly print with new Golden OPEN paint, ideal for monotype. It stays wet 10 times longer than regular acrylics, offering plenty of time to work the image. This is a fun and exciting way to generate works on paper with a richness and diversity unlike any other method. You'll explore additive and subtractive techniques. The prints will be hand-rubbed and pulled from plexi plates. Discover strokes and textures that are unlike anything you can do with a brushs as you combine painting and printmaking techniques that result in one of a kind images. Archival and environmentally friendly, with the ease of water cleanup, this workshop welcomes both the inexperienced and advanced artist.

Several 8.5X11 photocopies (black and white) of images to work with
2 or 3 sheets printmaking paper:Suggestions are Lenox, Stonehenge, Rives BFK, Rives Lightweight.

Corrine Loomis Dietz is a Northwest artist living in the Willamette Valley. A love of recording moments in time, examining color, problem solving and teaching encompass her life work. She has gained recognition as a figurative artist and educator in her region. She is inspired to explore personal relationships, emotions and the physical integration with daily life. The images she develops are expressionistic, encountered by her camera and inner eye.
